Memphis, Tn – The legislative session is over in Nashville. The 107th General Assembly made headlines for some of its work on guns and social issues.

But, the hottest issues that affect Shelby County were school merger measures that passed both chambers.

One lifted the ban on municipal schools. Another allows referendums to be held before the school merger.

At the center of the merger battle in Nashville is the Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris. He joined Fox 13’s Mearl Purvis to discuss what’s going on Capitol Hill.
