The University of Memphis’ Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute is hosting its 6th annual freight conference tomorrow, bringing in experts from across the industry.
The free conferences starts at 8 a.m. at the FedEx Institute of Technology on the University of Memphis campus.
Speakers will include Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer; Tennessee State Sen. Mark Norris; Bob Costello, chief economist and vice president for the American Trucking Associations; Mike Golias from the University of Memphis; Lee Wagner, director of international sales with Boyd Brothers Transportation Inc.; Pam Kordenbrock, division administrator with the Federal Highway Administration; U.S. Congressman Steve Cohen; and Jacques Rochon, acting director general of international relations and gateway initiatives for Transport Canada.
“This great lineup of speakers will offer insights into many of the freight transportation issues that are affecting the industry today,” said Martin Lipinski, director emeritus of the Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute.
The Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute at the University of Memphis focuses on research, education and outreach as a University Transportation Center.
