Ford Under Investigation

Memphis, TN -- State Senator John Ford is officially under investigation by the State Senate's Ethics Committee. The Committee has issued a subpoena to obtain Ford's income tax records from Shelby County Juvenile Court. The records were filed during Ford's child support hearings.

Senate Ethics Committee chairman Ron Ramsey does not expect Ford to block the subpoena, but the committee is prepared to fight back if he does. "The easiest thing to do is to prepare a subpoena, take them down there and get the records that way," says Ramsey.

Ford's fellow senators have been hesitant to comment, but Senator Mark Norris tells us it is appropriate the process is moving forward.
