April 4, 2006
The bill passed in the Senate on Monday night, and Tuesday the House will have a chance to look over the legislation.
Tennessee State Troopers may soon be enforcing federal laws, thanks to a bill passed by the state Senate.
Monday night the Senate passed a measure that would require State Troopers to be trained to enforce federal immigration and customs laws.
It would allow the Department of Homeland Security to send instructors for the training.
A companion bill is slated to be discussed today in the House.
