Tennessee Crack Down On Gun Laws

The Tennessee Public Safety Coalition is making a big announcement in Nashville, Monday, April 30, 2007. The statewide group that represents police chiefs, sheriffs and prosecutors.
At the Press Conference they will call for tougher gun laws to crack down on violent offenders.
There's a Memphis connection to these new laws.
The legislation is sponsored by several members of the Shelby County delegation, including Sens. Mark Norris and Paul Stanley and Rep. John DeBerry. Also, Shelby County DA Bill Gibbons will be speaking at the event, along with other top law enforcement officials from across the state.
